1 RC-9v Inverter rc-9v-inverter 1 Quick-Connect EL wire QC-22mm Color = Blue 2.2mm Length = 4ft
I hollowed out a space for the 9volt battery in the car, and painted a canopy that i got from hobby lobby the same color as the car to cover the battery.
Hi ! I love this ! Can you tell me what a canopy cover is? I would like to help my son make one for scouts derby race ASAP ... thank you ! Do you have a template for the car ?
The shape of the car could just be a wedge. The canopy is a plastic cockpit. I just painted it the same color as the car. You can find it at any hobby store . http://www.advantagehobby.com/126967/PIN346/Canopy--Cockpit-Set/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIicG0m4au2gIVFb3sCh0ypgFQEAkYBCABEgLQp_D_BwE
I used superglue to stick the wire to the car. The headrest at the very back of the car was just a piece of plastic that was laying around the house that covered the inverter.
It was just a little under in weight. I had to drill some holes underneath. I know that you can get a smaller inverter and batteries that don't weigh as much. I made this car in 2011 and the same 9 volt battery still works.
Great looking car -- where did you get that light strip from?
